Research Assistant
Diane is a member of the Simulation and Modelling in Medicine and Surgery (SiMMS) research group in the Faculty of Medicine (Department of Surgery and Cancer) at Imperial College London. Her main research interest is in mathematical modelling and simulation in health care. She is conducting discrete event simulation of patient journeys within integrated care pathways for patient groups with complex integrated care needs, such as paediatric patients with long term conditions and elderly frail patients.
Diane is also a private mathematics tutor, tutoring primary, secondary and further education level mathematics to students in central London and at a private London-based school.
Prior to joining Imperial College London, Diane was designated Aerodynamicist and Test Team Leader at the BAE Systems 1.2m High Speed Wind Tunnel at Warton Aerodrome with specialities in wind tunnel calibration and supersonic aerodynamics. She worked in several engineering teams across the business, conducting flight control system modelling and simulation, cockpit testing and flight data analysis on several high-profile aircraft platforms.
